our Website? |
My grandparents Will & Gert Shipman used to run The
Royal Oak in Wainfleet from around 1948-1960 and as a child I would spend
many happy holidays with them (I lived in Skegness). I have always loved
Wainfleet and made many friends including the Rusts, Suttons fish &
chips, Red Lion, The Angel (and my Uncle (Stan Wilkinson) still lives
there. I now live in Brisbane, Australia, but always visit Skegness and
Wainfleet on trips "home". Barbara (nee Edwards) it is a very nice town and the local people are very friendly. I was particually impressed by the Bateman Visitors centre...
