These premises were purpose built and opened in 1991. The building is
single-story and all areas are easily accessible for wheelchair users
and people with other disabilities. The waiting area is spacious, featuring
fixed seating, and is in View of the Receptionist. Patients who need assistance
getting to/from the consultation rooms only have to ask the Receptionist.
She will do all that she can to help. Guide dogs are welcome in the building.
We endeavour to keep the
Floor and corridors clear of obstruction at all times and ask that Children's
toys and magazines are kept as tidily as possible.
We have an open list and welcome requests for registration from patients
living or moving into the Practice area, which is anywhere within a 15
mile radius of the Practice. You can register by presenting your medical
card or completing a form GMS1 available from reception. Registration
is with the practice rather than an individual G.P. and You may see either
of the doctors. You are, however, able to express a preference of practitioner
when you register and each time you request an appointment. The practice
will try to comply with your request although it might not always be possible,
in which case you will be given an explanation.
All our surgeries and clinics are run on an appointment basis. An appointment
may be arranged by either calling in at The surgery or telephoning the
Receptionist on 01754 880212. Priority will be given to acute illness.
The Doctors are available for consultation at the following times;
Dr Ghani -
Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs & Friday - 9.00 -11.00am
Mon & Weds - 4.30 - 6.30pm
Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs & Friday - 9.00 -11.30am
Mon, Tues & Friday - 5.00 - 6.30pm
We aim to offer an appointment with a GP within 48 (working) hours of
request, but you are likely to be able to see a Doctor or Nurse within
24 (working) hours of request.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment
so that it can be offered to another patient. On average 40 appointments
ever/ month is wasted by patients booking but not attending. It may only
be one or two a day, but together they make up almost 2 days of appointments
If you are unwell and unable to attend the surgery and would like to request
a home visit, please telephone 01 754 880 212
as soon as possible. A Doctor will either visit you during the afternoon,
or may telephone you back to discuss your condition and assess the need
for a home visit.
Either Call at the surgery and leave your printed prescription request
slip, or telephone 01 754 880 212 to request
a repeat prescription. Although we aim to process most requests in 24
hours some do take a little longer so please allow 18 hours before collecting
your prescription. Patients who receive repeat prescriptions will still
be asked to see the Doctor or nurse on occasions to ensure that the treatment
is still necessary or working satisfactorily. The Practice is fortunate
enough to have prescription collection services provided by Wainfleet
Chemist, High Street, Wainfleet (collections every weekday afternoon)
and Boots the Chemist, Lumley Road, Skegness (collections Monday, Wednesday
& Friday afternoons). Morrison's Pharmacy in Skegness will also be
collecting prescriptions from here every Tuesday and Friday afternoon.
If you would like your prescription to be sent directly to one of these
pharmacies each time you order, please inform the Receptionist.
The pharmacy will need time to process your prescription so please bear
this in mind before collecting your medication. If you would like further
information about these services, please contact the appropriate pharmacy.
If you have to pay for your prescriptions you may find it cheaper to purchase
a pre-payment certificate. If you require more than 5 items in 4-months
or 1 4 items in 1 2-month, you could save money and not have to worry
about having enough cash with you to pay for your medication every time.
To buy a pre-payment certificate either telephone 0845 150 0030 (you will
need your credit/debit card) or ask the Receptionist for a form to fill-in
and post with a cheque/postal order.
A number of patients are entitled to free NHS prescriptions, examples
are, pregnant ladies and those on medication for Diabetes or a Thyroid
problem. You may also be entitled to free prescriptions if you are on
a low income or receive benefits. Please ask at Reception for more information
and a claim form if you think that you may be entitled.
