A Diary of 20th Century WAINFLEET by Colin Henley
Colin Hendley is Wainfleet born and bred.
He wrote "The Lost Port of Wainfleet." He has devoted so much
to researching the history of Wainfleet. He has unearthed many interesting
relics from the past using his metal detector.
His grandfather was Billy Miller who lived 'by his wits' as a trader,
rabbit catcher and went on to become Wainfleet's Town Crier.
Colin has put together a year-by-year account
of life in Wainfleet from 1900 to 1999. This was the result of three years
research helped by local residents.
